Olympic gold medallist and skiing superstar Lindsey Vonn has a new lover – according to an Austrian paper that claims it tracked him down to her luxury double decker touring bus.
The skiier who is fresh from her fourth World Cup win in Austria is officially single as she goes through divorce proceedings with her husband and former coach, Thomas Vonn.
The couple filed for divorce at the end of last year, and this has been the first season the skier has trained under the guidance of a new mentor.
Austrian newspaper Österreich reported discovering what it called the couple’s “love nest” in the form of a giant white luxury bus parked in a car park at the Planai ski resort where it said the couple had been spending the night together. The paper then tackled the man it said was her lover – Brad Walker, 30, – who they described as nervous as they attempted to interview him about his relationship.
Walker is one of America’s gold medal winning hopefuls for the 2012 Olympics and recently won bronze in Istanbul and then flew straight to Schladming in Austria to be with Lindsey.
The paper quoted insiders saying that although he had won her heart he was keen to keep a low profile.
The paper said the reason is that the divorce was still going through with Thomas, 36, who still lives in the family home in Park City.
But aside from that the paper added that she planned to be in London to keep her fingers crossed for her new lover.
