Folsom, CA– Kasey Burlingham and Paul Litchfield competed in the Gold Country Elite Pole Vault competition on Wednesday at Folsom High.Robbert-Jan Jansen was to have also participated but was injured. All three men answered questions about pole vaulting to a group of about 20 pole vaulters from area high schools who were there to watch.Litchfield went to Bear River High School and his favorite pole vault quote is “Be fearless and attack the box”Burlingham went to Colfax High and his pole vault quote is “Grip it and rip it.”Jansen, who is from the Netherlands, got involved in vaulting at a young age as his dad was a vaulter.
